War Horse Review

“War Horse” is a movie directed by Steven Spielberg, a genius director and producer of top hit blockbusters such as Schindler’s List, Jaws, The Adventures of Tintin, Indiana Jones Series and many more.  The movie “War Horse” is based on the book by Michael Morpurgo and play by Nick Stafford.  The setting take place in World War I settles in the early 1900’s, The movie tell us about a young boy name Albert Naracott (Played by Jeremy Irvine) who lives near countryside in Devon, England. The movie “War Horse” is a spectacular movie and has been awarded and nominated in many awards because of its storyline and its cinematography.

The Movie“War Horse” begins when Albert Naracott (Jeremy Irvine) or often being called Albie see a birth of a half thoroughbred horse, Albie fall in love with that thoroughbred horse, in another scene shows that the horse to be auctioned and Ted Naracott (Peter Mullan) father of Albie who has a drinking problem and a limp because of the Boer War, Ted then bid for the horse for a total of 30 Guineas because of his auction fight with his landlord Lyons (David Thewlis). Albie then named him Joey,  Ted eventually has risk his farm that the family runs , Ted and his family is unable to pay its rent to Lyons. They struggles of keeping the farm alive, Ted Naracott is eventually forced to sell the horse to Captain Nicholls (Tom Hiddleston) of the England army for worth of forty Guineas to keep its farm alive. Albie is dissapointed and before that he made a promise to Joey that he will find him at all cost and nothing can stop their friendship.  Joey go to a huge journey straight to different war places and went from opposing army, Germany through different hands and ownership. Can Albie find Joey and made his promise once again?.

Using the brilliant mind of Steven Spielberg, “War Horse” is one of the most successful movies of Steven Spielberg. The storyline is really inspiring and exciting to follow. I personally think that the movie “War Horse” is a fantastic movie because of the aspects of the movie, the camera angles made it look realistic, the sound effect make the movie more “alive” and also the impressive settings that makes the overall movie look real and making the viewer go through the movie. Even though Jeremy Irvine is still young there are a lots of potential in him as seen in his film “War Horse” his acting is impressive and making this a blockbuster hit.

The movie “War Horse” is a moving Drama and is highly recommended for families of all ages, “War Horse” has a very good moral and a lot of hidden meanings, it will change the audiences perspective of view of war, friendship and loyalty, making this the best movie ever made, the movie is guaranteed to be fun and tragic it has all the portion that you need, Don’t miss it!
